THE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD: I believe that the world in general is a kind and good place. Most people, regardless of their color, jutting jaw bones, yellow or black skin are good people. They just want to talk to you and say hi and laugh out loud. The majority met, around this world, would love to enjoy a dinner with you and your loved ones. I have dined with good Arabs, kind Chinese, loving Japanese and more. I have floated on top of the water in the Dead Sea, visited Hiroshima (where I was one of the few white faces in a sea of thousands of Japanese staring at the replica bomb up on the wall and the flattened replica Hiroshima city below), the Buchenwald Death Camp in East Germany (the barbed wire and ovens were haunting) and crawled in the secret tunnels of invasion from North Korea to South Korea (after a North Korean lit up the river with machine gun fire - that was pretty interesting). In East Germany we talked with a woman in a wine shop who brought her own self to tears, speaking about her towns new found freedom to be able to buy tomatoes, for only ten years now. Being free, meant very much to her. What does it mean to you? People all over the world - are just people. Plain and simple. They work hard each day, get yelled at by someone in traffic and have to go down to the garage to pay some massive bill, for auto repairs, just like you. They have parent teacher meetings to attend to, their mom calling to come change a light bulb and run out of milk on Sunday morning. The old ghosts of German Nazi's, filthy Arabs and Kamikaze Japanese, along with a host of other fears, are all ridiculous, in today's modern world. Only the uneducated continue to speak of those things. An eye on history is learned and intelligent but the wake of the boat is not what is speeding it forward through the massive lake. Just because Osama Bin-Ladin is an ass, doesn't mean we are going to give up being buddies with our good Arab men and women friends in the Middle East. WOMEN AND MEN: I believe that women and men were put onto this earth to compliment each other, not compete with each other. There are things each can do better than the other, thus the need for mutual respect and care. Man has ruled this earth for quite a long time. I have seen what man, by himself and with few women in the governments of old, can do. Wars for thousands of years, swords plunged into chests with blood drenching the earth for centuries. The world needs more women involved in it's governments and associations. Women have many talents to bring to the table of governing and negotiation. Look at Senator Hillary-Rodham Clinton, Prime Minister Thatcher or any number of other intelligent and smart women. Obviously, not all women can help the world in this manner, due to family raising and personal desires. The goal in my mind would be to have a balance someday of 50/50, men and women, running this world. I am sure there would be more talking, instead of fighting. As an example I give you the disgusting and filthy video that was recently shown on CNN. In this clip, an Afghan man relentlessly beat and whipped a woman on the open street, because her veil had fallen off of her face. I can tell you that if I had been there, I would have punished him beyond his most villainous dreams. This is the crudest example of a philosophy on how women should be treated, in society, forbidden to receive education under the old Taliban. But these beliefs exist in many forms today and in many countries, including with dinosaurs in the United States. And dinosaurs can be 18 years old. It just depends on how they were raised and by whom.
